DR. SARAH WHALEY

DR. OF PHYSICAL THERAPY

Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, Dr. Sarah Whaley began her career path at the University of Alabama, where she earned her bachelor’s in kinesiology. She then obtained her doctor of physical therapy at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee.

Growing up, Dr. Whaley spent the majority of her time formally dancing. The long hours at the dance studio landed her in physical therapy, which ultimately led her to the profession. She has since been continually drawn to work with the athletic population, working with all levels, including recreational, high school, collegiate, and professional.

Dr. Whaley utilizes a holistic approach and views each patient as a person, addressing both physical and mental barriers to movement.  She is passionate about enabling people of all abilities and ages to be able to move better and return to the things they love.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys traveling, being outdoors, working out, reading, and spending time with her two dogs, Lucy and Lexi.
