DR. JOSH RENKENS

DR. OF CHIROPRACTIC

Dr. Josh Renkens holds graduate and doctorate degrees from Tennessee State University and Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Renkens specializes in chiropractic sports practice and soft tissue treatments, including Functional Release, Active Release Technique, and Fascial Manipulation. He also incorporates functional dry needling, IASTM, Functional Range Conditioning, cupping, and various taping techniques in his treatment processes. 

Dr. Renkens has worked with athletes from the NFL, NHL, MLB, PGA, and USTA. He also serves as a special consultant and shares his approach with Vanderbilt, Lipscomb, and Belmont universities in Nashville, TN, working with athletes in various sports. He is the co-author of “Reset Your Back and Baseball Movement Essentials” and a co-developer of the online product, Strength & Mobility for Tennis. 

Dr. Renkens played college basketball at Division II Assumption College. Following his playing career, he was drawn to running and cycling. Personal accomplishments include a 2:46 Boston Marathon and several podium finishes in road cycling and duathlon racing. Still competitive, Josh recently stood atop the podium, becoming the 2023 DEKA Fitness World Champion in his age division. 

Dr. Renkens believes each of us has a champion athlete within and has made it his mission to empower people with the know-how for achieving efficient movement and better health.

During time away from the office, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, and family (Wells, Gage, Madeline, and Gwendolyn). He loves to train in the gym and enjoys hiking, reading, and listening to music.
