After finishing his Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology, Mick started his career as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Olympic Sports at Oklahoma State University. During his 5 years at OSU, Mick worked with numerous championship teams and athletes including 5 Olympic Gold Medalists, numerous All Americans, a national championship wresting team and Heisman Trophy Winner Barry Sanders. Mick was also selected to oversee the USA Wrestling Teams Strength and Conditioning Program for the World Championships and Goodwill Games.

Following his stint at Oklahoma State, Mick was hired as the Head Strength Coach for Illinois State University working with 20 men and women’s sports programs, including top ranked Volleyball and Basketball Teams.

Mick moved to Nashville in 1991 to work with lifelong friend Garth Brooks as his road manager. With Garth's retirement in 1998, Mick made a decision to pursue his passion as a Sports Performance Coach in the Nashville area. He was hired as Sports Performance Director of Velocity Sports Cool Springs in 2006, working with hundreds of athletes including youth, high school, college and pros in the areas of agility, power and speed. At Velocity, Mick also focused on Club Volleyball Training and College Volleyball Summer Programs for local Universities.

Mick is certified by the Poliquin Institute and works with clients of all ages in the area of sports performance, injury reduction and nutrition. He currently works at Resilient Health and Performance in Brentwood, TN and on location for Club Volleyball Teams in the Nashville Area.
